As I was experimenting with chair designs I invented
this piece all from red eastern cedar. Originally I had intended to make
this chair for outside use and so later finished it with teak oil. This
picture is the unfinished version. Notice how I cut inside the legs to
expose the red cedar. |
My second attempt with this type of chair produced an
inside chair with a simpler top design, again finished in teak oil. The
customer bought 5 of these as a set and especially liked the oversized
feature. I call this design the Throne Chair. An especially robust
person is made to feel very comfortable in them with room to spare. It
takes two people to lift a chair. Dimensions are:
